Let us bring the library to you!

Books on Wheels is a free, volunteer service that delivers library materials to patrons who are unable to come to the library for health or physical reasons. The service may be used on either a temporary or permanent basis.

Eligible patrons are residents in the Victor and Farmington area who cannot get to the library for reasons such as illness, injury or handicap. The Victor Farmington Library serves the residents of the Victor Central School District.

To begin the service call the library at 585-924-2637. A Books on Wheels volunteer will contact you to set up an initial visit. At that visit we will ask you for information about your reading preferences and any limitations that will affect your reading materials. It is possible to request specific titles and authors or you can rely on the volunteer to choose materials based on your preferences.

Regular and large print books, paperback books, magazines, DVDs and books on CD can be requested. Almost anything you would find on a typical library visit can be requested.

You and your Books on Wheels volunteer will set up a delivery schedule that works for you. Normally we schedule visits every three weeks. Items can be renewed by phone if necessary, provided there are no other patron requests for the materials. The patron is responsible for any lost or damaged materials.
